I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and the history of the T-60 Grill and Coach's Low Country Boil® seasoning. I am a retired football coach who, after my coaching career, relocated with my family to Fairplay , SC on the shore of the beautiful Lake Hartwell . After recognizing the need for an eating establishment, I opened the T-60 Grill on Mother’s Day in 2003 with the support of my lovely wife, Tina. The name T-60 is derived from the channel marker on the lake that denotes our location. Originally, our menu was very simple and included items such as steaks and sandwiches. However, four months after the restaurant opened, and with Tina’s encouragement, we introduced the Low Country Boil – consisting of sausage, corn, potatoes, shrimp and crab – which are all boiled in a pot containing the special seasoning we developed.
