The Oregon Trawl Commission (OTC) is a state commodity commission that operates under the state of Oregon's Department of Agriculture Commodity Commission Program. The OTC represents all Oregon fisheries that harvest seafood with a trawl net through: Generic Promotion, Education, Research and by Monitoring and Commenting on proposed legislation or regulations that affect the Oregon trawl industry. The OTC is made up of 8 commissioners, consisting of 5 fishermen, 2 processors and one public member and is funded entirely from an ad-valorum tax on trawl landings into Oregon ports.
