The National Prawn Company is the largest fully
integrated desert aquaculture operation in the world and
a global leader in environmentally friendly shrimp farming,
currently producing around 15,000t per annum of
exceptional ‘Penaeus Indicus’. Situated
on and fed by the pristine waters of the spectacular Red
Sea, near Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, more than
US$350m was spent on the initial construction of the
farm which boasts absolute leading edge technologies,
sustainability and food standards. Proudly employing over 3000 people, NPC’s entire farming operation is
