Aegean Exporters' Associations were established with the purpose of contributing to the increase of export, regulating professional activities among the exporters and related organizations, guiding them in the foreign markets, to put into practice the decisions of administrative boards, to compile information. Owing to its geographical location, Turkey has a great advantage in terms of fish and fishery products. This natural richness provides a major advantage in having a large variety of aquatic species. Total annual fishery production of Turkey is over 700.000 tons, including aquaculture . The current fish farms, completely adapted to EC norms are particularly located in the Aegean region.
