All Port Clyde lobsters used in the stew are in a class by themselves due to having been shucked without boiling: sweet, tender and unusually succulent. The rich creamy elegance is achieved with fresh Maine Oakhurst cream, Kate's Maine Butter, pure sea salt, a touch of marsala– and lots of wild caught lobster meat pureed into the base. The large pieces are carefully poached into the stew at the very end of the recipe. Unusual and yummy!

Each 32 ounces of Linda Bean's signature Maine Lobster Stew contains the whole claws and all the other meat from four wild caught Maine lobsters except tails. The underlying lobster bisque stock is made of a reduction from fresh lobster shells containing the body meat, strained fresh vegetables and secret seasonings. There are no fillers (like potatoes), no artificial ingredients and no preservatives, and the finished natural creamy stew is quick frozen until you are ready.

The secret of the lobster meat's tenderness and sweet succulence is the unique processing. A revolutionary no-boil shell removal achievement allows the lobster meat to be delicately poached, not twice cooked (into toughness).

On Feb 28 a panel at Maine Fishermen's Forum in Rockland, Maine, included Port Clyde Lobster in response to interest about our marketing on QVC-TV. The introduction of the new stew occurred on Gourmet Holiday, a QVC feature hour Decemeber 5. On April 22, 23, 24 I'll be offering tastings of the stew in Brussels, Belgium, at the International European Seafoods Exposition.
