Dr. Newman is a marine microbiologist with more than three decades of experience in the global business of aquaculture. As an entrepreneur who has successfully broached the line between real world science applications and aquaculture, Newman has traveled extensively in 50 countries and worked with all levels of aquaculture; from government regulators to the hatchery, farm owners and operators, processing plants, vertically integrated multinational corporations, banks and insurance companies, and the venture capital groups that fund and protect them. Having worked with shrimp and fish farmers (salmon, trout, catfish, tilapia, barramundi, cobia, grouper, etc.) from Norway to Indonesia, from Canada to China, Newman has a unique perspective on the global industry and an in-depth experience based understanding of the biological basis of aquaculture that affords him the opportunity to assist a wide range of clients with many issues that relate to and affect aquaculture.
