Cold-storage company Americold has named a grocery store retailer and supplier vice president as its new COO, the company said in a release this week.
Fred Boehler, according to Americold, will be responsible for the company’s U.S. operations. Boehler served as senior vice president of supply chain with SUPERVALU, which serves more than 4,300 stores. Prior to SUPERVALU, Boehler oversaw distrubtion operations, industrial engineering, logistics planning and purchasing for Borders Group.
He holds a Bachelors Degree in Management Science and Operations from Wright State University and a Masters in International Business from Northern Illinois University.
“Fred is an innovative leader whose strategic and tactical experience will play a fundamental role in improving domestic operations and driving customer satisfaction,” said Jeffrey M.
