Clear Springs Foods hires Stephen Reichley as director of fish health

Clear Springs Foods, an Idaho, U.S.A.-based trout farming operation, has announced the hiring of Stephen Reichley as its new director of fish health.

Reichley will provide Clear Springs with consulting on a part-time basis until he completes his studies, whereupon he will join the company full-time. Reichley is expected to graduate by July 2017.

“[Reichley] will work closely with our operations team providing a positive environment and conditions for our fish populations, thus providing quality products that drive increased value to our customers,” Clear Springs Vice President of Operations Jeff Jermunson said in a press release.

Currently, Reichley currently is a clinical instructor in the Department of Pathobiology and Population Medicine at Mississippi State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Specifically, he works in aquatic teaching and diagnostic service within the Thad Cochran National Warmwater Aquaculture Center. He previously served as an intern at Clear Springs, and has a doctoratee from Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Findlay. Reichley is also a Certified Aquatic Veterinarian.

“Stephen has extensive aquatic animal health experience and veterinary experience and will provide valuable insight and direction for our Company,” Clear Springs said in its release. “He possesses strong technical skills and understands the generation of consumers the company will be marketing to in the future. Stephen will work closely with all functional areas of the business to assure that Clear Springs continues to provide excellent products and service to our customers. “
