Huon Aquaculture gains 3 percent on debut

Australia’s second-biggest salmon producer Huon Aquaculture has debuted on the ASX at a small premium to its issue price of AUD 4.75.

Huon shares were trading at AUD 4.88 shortly after its listing went live at 12 p.m. AEST, with the company having raised about AUD 133 million in an initial public offering earlier this month.

Huon raised AUD 125 million from new shares in the float, while the vendors — also the founders Peter and Frances Bender — sold another AUD 8 million of existing shares. The Benders still hold 68 per cent of the company, which they founded in 1986.
