Thailand assures US on trafficking fight

Thailand has reaffirmed its commitment to solving human trafficking problems with the United States.

Thai permanent secretary for foreign affairs Sihasak Phuangketkaew last week confirmed these commitments in a letter to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.

The U.S. government is scheduled to release its Trafficking in Persons (TIP) report later this month.

In the letter, Sihasak reassured the U.S. that Thailand is still focused on the prevention and suppression of human trafficking.
