Losses from mass deaths of river-farmed fish in Vietnam this week are estimated at VND 5.3 billion (USD 235,849, EUR 209,359).
Investigators announced the figure as they examined the dead fish found earlier this week in Cha Va River, according to the Vietnam News Service.
The losses are spread through 15 different farms, with some farms experiencing tens of thousands of U.S. dollars in lost product.
No official cause has been listed for the deaths, but the news service is reporting fishermen believe discharge from seafood processing facilities may be to blame.
