The European Commission has produced a new guide for the seafood industry, describing new labeling laws that will take effect this week.
The laws, geared toward “all fishery and aquaculture products” will take effect on Saturday, 13 December.
Along with describing the new rules, the 11-page "pocket guide" also shows examples of proper labels, both for canned, prepacked and unprocessed products. The guide includes contacts for questions from the industry.
