Morrisons issues recall for BBQ salmon skewers based on health concerns

Major European retailer Morrisons has issued a recall notice for its BBQ-marinated salmon skewer product, citing potential health risks due to milk not being correctly identified as a possible allergen on the product’s pack.

The product in question, Morrisons' 4 Salmon Skewers Marinated in BBQ Dressing, comes in a 250g package with use-by deadlines clearly labeled. Morrisons has enacted the recall out of concern for consumers who may have a milk allergy or intolerance, and could purchase the fish snack falsely assuming that said allergen isn’t present, explained the United Kingdom's Food Standards Agency.

The retailer recommends that customers with a milk allergy or intolerance who have purchased the salmon skewer item not consume the product but, instead, promptly return it to the store where it was acquired, reported the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
