Young’s recalls fish cakes

British seafood producer and processor Young’s Seafood has issued a recall of a batch of its frozen Young’s Chip Shop Extra Large Fish Cakes 2 Pack after discovering the batch was contaminated with “small pieces of hard plastic,” the company said in a statement.

The recall affects products sold at ASDA, Morrisons and Tesco. The affected products have a Best Before Dec. 15 label, and carry production code L4160. The code can be found beneath the Best Before label. The product will also bear a bar code number of 5000205035321.

Young’s is encouraging anyone who purchased the crab cake product with the above labels after 19 June 2014 to return the product to the store for a full refund.

Young’s is encouraging customers with questions to call 0800 496 8647 or email [email protected].
