New Iraqi seafood restaurant honors Trump

The owner of a new Donald Trump-themed seafood restaurant not only reveres the new United States president-elect, but also expects that naming his restaurant “Trump Fish” will net him significant publicity and business.

Already, numerous global publications, including Reuters, have covered that news that Trump Fish is open in Duhok, Kurdistan, in northern Iraq, after it opened around two weeks ago.

The restaurant’s owner, Nedyar Zawiti, said he admires Trump.

“I love his personality and his policy. His style is close to me. I like him as a person and a businessman,” Zawiti told Reuters.

Zawiti also said Trump promised to help the Kurds.

"The name Trump is beloved in Kurdistan,” he said.

The seafood restaurant offers only one dish. Considered Iraq’s national dish, Trump Fish serves masgouf, a grilled fish farmed in local rivers and seasoned with olive oil, pepper, lemon and spices.
