Benchmark mulls buying seafood nutrition company

Farming and aquaculture technical services provider Benchmark Holdings has confirmed it is exploring the possibility of acquiring Netherlands-based seafood farm nutrition product manufacturer Inve Aquaculture.

According to Reuters, Benchmark, based in Sheffield, U.K., is “contemplating potential acquisition” of the aquaculture firm, which has offices in Belgium, Thailand and the United States.

Alliance News is reporting Benchmark has said if it moves to acquire Inve, it would constitute a reverse takeover under AIM rules.

Benchmark suspended shares in the company earlier this week, pending a new statement or the end of acquisition talks.
