Bristol Seafood on Wednesday announced that it plans to invest USD 1 million in upgrades to its Portland, Maine, facility.
The plant has been in operation since 1992 and was expanded to 30,000 square foot, including production, cold storage and administrative offices, in 2000.
The upgrades will occur over the next 30 months and feature modernization of the production area, including a streamlined production flow, upgraded defrosting and grading systems, and investment in green technology such as improved fresh water conservation through state-of-the-art recycling.
