Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods on Thursday announced two new hires.
The El Segundo, Calif.-based company has named Carlos Faria as VP of operations. Faria previously served as senior VP of supply chain, international and strategy for a national seafood supplier and as a member of the National Fisheries Institute Crab Council executive committee. He has 20 years of international business experience in operations and finance, as both an executive in international financial institutions and as an entrepreneur.
The company also appointed Howard Lapides as director of national accounts, foodservice. Lapides previously worked with a national redistribution company as executive managing director for seafood imports. He has more than 25 years of seafood industry experience, with an extensive focus on program business targeting national restaurant chains and other industrial operators.
