Clearwater Seafoods appoints new global marketing VP

Clearwater Seafoods has appointed former Kraft Heinz executive Don Holdsworth as its vice president of global marketing, according to an announcement by the company on Monday, 9 January.

Clearwater is one of Canada’s largest seafood companies, fishing, processing and marketing scallops, lobster, clams, coldwater shrimp, langoustines, crab, whelk and groundfish.

Holdsworth will be based at Clearwater’s headquarters in Bedford, Nova Scotia, and will lead the company's global marketing team, working to develop and implement global marketing strategies.

"Don is a valuable addition to the Clearwater organization, bringing a wealth of experience to our global markets team," said Clearwater President and Chief Commercial Officer Greg Morency said. "As the company embarks on its next five-year plan, Don will play an integral role in developing and leading the implementation of Clearwater's marketing strategies and plans."

Holdsworth has more than 20 years of experience working in the consumer packaged goods sector, most recently as the head of Kraft Heinz’s Condiments and Spreads Group. In that position, he worked with a portfolio of well-known brands including Heinz Ketchup, Kraft Peanut Butter and Renee's Salad Dressings. Holdworth has a degree from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. He began his marketing career as an assistant product manager with Whitehall-Robins Inc.
