26 March, 2012 - A U.S.-Malaysian consortium is developing the world’s first integrated lobster farm off the east coast of Sabah.

Darden Restaurants, the world’s largest full-service restaurant company, is partnering Malaysian aquaculture specialist Ever Nexus and Yayasan Sabah to develop the 9,300 hectare Integrated Lobster Aquaculture Park (ILAP) in Semporna, Sabah.

Darden, which is ranked 332 on the Fortune 500 list, will also locate its regional restaurant management center in Kuala Lumpur.
