08 May, 2012 - Florida-based Beaver Street Fisheries, and Bahamas Food Services, its sister company in Nassau, Bahamas have selected RedPrairie Corporation to support its expanding food distribution businesses.

Beaver Street will use RedPrairie, a global supply chain and retail technology provider, at its Jacksonville facility to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs. Bahamas Food Services, one of the largest full-line foodservice distributors in the Bahamas, plans to double the size of its warehouse using RedPrairie Workforce Management and Warehouse Management solutions to replace manual processes, increase inventory visibility and accuracy, expand workforce management capabilities, and optimize all aspects of operations.

The phased implementation of RedPrairie’s solutions is already underway with Beaver Street Fisheries. The Jacksonville warehouse went live in early February, ahead of schedule.

“RedPrairie’s comprehensive enterprise platform is ideally designed to meet the needs of our growing business," said Scott Lane, chief information officer at Beaver Street. “As our business thrives and expands, we realized the strategic necessity to automate our warehouse, labor and transportation processes. Using RedPrairie, we can now track products achieving unprecedented inventory visibility and accuracy. Additionally, by automating our workforce management processes, we can more efficiently manage higher volumes of orders without having to hire additional resources saving time and money.”
