02 August, 2012 - There are new questions about the Tasmanian Government's support for the super trawler F/V Margiris.

It has been revealed the Deputy Premier has raised concerns with the Commonwealth about the size of the ship.

The Tasmanian Greens have obtained a leaked letter written by Green to the Federal Fisheries Minister Joe Ludwig last month.

In it, Green writes of significant public concern about the trawler, including the issue of possible localized fish stock depletion.

He wants an answer on whether the catch is likely to be concentrated in specific parts of the fishery because of the large size of the vessel.
