12 September, 2012 - After reaching the highest total of the year last week, prices of salmon from Norway declined 1.7 percent the week of 3 to 9 September.

Export prices for fresh salmon came to NOK 28.6 (EUR 3.86, USD 4.97) per kilogram for the seven-day period. Volume of fresh salmon exports also dropped by 0.4 percent to 16,747 metric tons (MT), compared to the week of 27 August to 2 September.

Norway exported 787 MT of frozen salmon at NOK 29.98 (EUR 4.04, USD 5.21) per kilogram from 3 to 9 September, up from 756 MT at NOK 29.08 (EUR 3.92, USD 5.06) per kilogram the previous week.
