Seafood inventory management
Dynamic Systems, a Redmond, Wash.-based software developer, announced the release of SIMBA 2010, which adds features and capability to the Seafood Inventory Management system. The SIMBA (Seafood Inventory Management with Barcode Accuracy) system solves the problem of how to produce and track complete product labeling for seafood on the fly. The system allows production line workers to change product labels with a fingertip on the computer touch screen, capturing variable information including weight, species, size, color, grade and other information. The label information is stored in the system, which then provides production and inventory reports.
It also has features for re-boxing, palletizing and shipping, including production of the bill of lading and gives the user complete traceability from dock to van. Benefits of implementing the SIMBA software include increased production speed, the ability to get same-day production reports, ability to fulfill traceability requirements, accurately track inventory, produce a professional looking carton and pallet labels and expedited van loading. For more information, contact Dynamic Systems at (800) 342-3999 or visit its Web site.
