Red Lobster launches Lenten lunch for Lobsterfest

Red Lobster is giving Americans yet another reason to eat seafood during the Lenten season.

Its new Lobster Lover’s Lunch items were launched as part of its popular Lobsterfest celebration. New lunch items include a lobster roll with french fries, lobster-topped Caesar salad or one-half lobster and langostino pizza paired with guests’ choice of a side salad or cup of soup.

Guests can pair any of the lunch dishes with a side salad or cup of soup for USD 12.99 (EUR 12.29).

The new lobster roll features Maine lobster meat tossed in lemon aioli on a toasted roll, while the lobster-topped Caesar salad pairs the restaurant chain’s classic caesar salad with Maine lobster meat. Meanwhile, the lobster and langostino pizza features Red Lobster’s popular signature crispy thin-crust pizza topped with Maine and langostino lobster meat, melted mozzarella, fresh tomatoes and sweet basil.

Starting 6 February, Red Lobster began celebrating Lobsterfest for a limited time. Featuring “Lobster Mix and Match,” guests can choose any two lobster tails from four choices – Creamy Shrimp-Topped Lobster Tail, Seafood-Stuffed Lobster Tail, Steamed Maine Lobster Tail, or Grilled Maine Lobster Tail – to create their own entree.

Meanwhile, the chain’s chilled lobster and shrimp cocktail appetizer, its wood-grilled lobster and red shrimp, its stuffed tilapia with langostino lobster and the Lobsterfest Surf and Turf are among the new dishes that were rolled out for Lobsterfest.

Throughout Lobsterfest, Red Lobster is encouraging guests to use the hashtag #lobsterworthy on social media, “to share their moments or occasions that are so special, they can only be celebrated by enjoying lobster,” the company said in a statement.
