2. Grilled Maine Lobster. Rowe recommends preheating the grill to medium-high heat. Split the whole lobster down the center of the body, starting from below the eyes to the end of the tail. Crack the claws and knuckles to help cook through. Rub melted lemon butter with a touch of salt down the inside of the two halves. Grill shell-side down for the first 10 minutes, and then flip and cook for another five minutes. The lobster is cooked “when the meat is opaque, but tender on the inside,” Rowe said.
