Several U.S. restaurants are rolling out shrimp promotions for the Lenten season, which started 5 March and ends 17 April.
Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A.-based Long John Silver’s is debuting a new Coconut Butterfly Shrimp and is offering several other shrimp specials for Lent.
Customers can order one of several Shrimp Baskets for USD 6.00 (EUR 5.70), including Six-Piece Coconut Butterfly Shrimp, Six-Piece Grilled Shrimp, Six-Piece Batter-Dipped Shrimp, and Crispy Breaded Popcorn Shrimp.
Long John Silver’s is also offering Shrimp Sea-Shares for USD 10.00 (EUR 9.50) each. The special includes a choice of 15 coconut butterfly shrimp, 15 grilled shrimp, 15 batter-dipped shrimp, or a shareable serving of Crispy Breaded Popcorn Shrimp.

Elsewhere, New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A.-based shrimp supplier Prime Shrimp is teaming up with Mahana Fresh, a fast-casual restaurant specializing in healthy, customizable dishes with locations in seven U.S. states, on a limited-time promotion.
Through 30 April, the restaurant chain’s customers can order Shrimply Paradise, featuring bowls customizable with four Prime Shrimp flavors — Louisiana Boil, Honey Mesquite, Signature, and Lemon & Cracked Pepper — at the restaurant chain’s eateries...
