One of China’s most ambitious seafood distributors – a firm voted one of the country’s top 10 seafood brands – has linked up with a major importer to sew up the seafood distribution business in northern China.
Dalian-based Ya Zhou Yu Gang, which uses the Asian Sea brand, has signed an alliance with Bei Yi Lin Co., which claims to be the top distributor of Western food in northeast China. China’s traditional industrial belt, the populous northeast is home to major cities like Dalian, Shenyang and Harbin near the Russian border, as well as Dandong on the North Korean border.
Established in 2003, Ya Zhou Yu Gang, which also operates the Snow Dragon brand of premium beef, made the list of China’s top 10 seafood brands as compiled by the influential Hai Xian Zhi Nan Wechat group. The firm imports seafood and operates an app that allows customers to order seafood online for direct delivery.
