10.) Jelly bellies
Chinese authorities responded to reports in July 2015 claiming that certain shrimps were being pumped with gelatin and then sold to a market in Wenzhou. Customers complained about a clear, squishy substance found inside their shrimp purchased from the market to both local media and officials. Many speculated that the mystery substance was being used to make the shrimp appear plumper and generally more robust.
