Cyclops Shark
The fetus of a baby bull shark, this cyclops shark – born with a condition called cyclopedia, which allows for only one fully formed functioning eye – seems straight out of Homer’s nightmares. Fishermen picked the fish up in 2011 off of the coast of Baja California Sur, Mexico.
According to National Geographic, not many have been caught in the wild or documented outside of the womb, indicating that the survival chances of a baby bull shark born with cyclopedia are very slim.
