Nine Turkish companies are exhibiting at the 2017 Seafood Expo North America in Boston, Massachusetts from 19 to 21 March, marking a growth in the country’s presence at the annual expo.
The exhibiting companies include: Akuvatur Mediterranean Fish, Camli Yem Besicilik, Gumusdoga Fish, Ilknak Aquaculture, Group Sagun, Kilic Seafood Co., Liman Entegre, Noordzee and the Turkish Seafood Promotion Committee.
Among the exhibitors are producers of sea bass, sea bream, red and gray mullet, anchovy, horse mackerel, trout and a variety other species. The companies are organized under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Istanbul Exporters’ Associations.
The promotional committee is touting the advantages of Turkey’s trade relations with the European Union and its rising production of seafood – approximately 800,000 tons in 2016 – with an increasing share of that being produced by aquaculture.
