Southwest Cargo has a new shipping option for seafood suppliers
With its revamped product menu, Southwest Cargo has introduced Fresh Fast, which is a new product dedicated to shipping perishables to their final destination within just 24 hours. In addition to an escalated arrival time, Southwest Cargo also has cooler availability in select markets guaranteeing that perishable shipments arrive as fresh as when they were tendered.
“This refresh is part of our continual efforts to offer a product menu that meets the changing needs of our valued Cargo Customers,” Wally Devereaux, managing director of cargo and charters for Southwest, said.
Fresh Fast was specifically designed for perishable shippers that need their shipments to arrive at their desired location quickly, by offering short cutoff times and a loading priority second only to Southwest Cargo’s “Next Flight Guaranteed” product.
Southwest Cargo currently operates over 4,000 flights each day throughout its network, hitting destinations across the map. Currently, Fresh Fast is unavailable for international or interline markets; but in the domestic market, Southwest’s facilities cover every corner of the U.S.
“With our extensive domestic network, Southwest Cargo has the flights you need to meet your shipping requirements,” the company states. Between the number of flights and the breadth of market coverage, Fresh Fast is the reliable way to get perishable products where they need to go when they need to get there.
Alongside Fresh Fast, the company also debuted its new slogan, “We’ve Got Ship To Do.”
“The phrase aims to celebrate what Southwest Cargo is known for providing: world-class, ‘Relentlessly Reliable’ service to its Customers,” the company wrote.
Southwest has recently undergone a number of other significant changes to enhance Customer experience, including the launch of a new Cargo reservations system, service to new international cargo destinations, and a redesign of its website, swacargo.com.
While a lot has changed, the company’s award-winning employees haven’t: The company was recently named air carrier of the year by Pilot Air Freight, won the Airforwarders Association’s “Domestic Carrier of the Year” 10 years running, and won the 2019 Logistics Management Quest for Quality award in the Air Cargo Carriers category.
For suppliers who need to ship their perishables in a time-sensitive manner, Fresh Fast may be a good option, Southwest said. More information on the new option can be found at https://ship.swacargo.com/FreshFast.
