EWOS reports good 1H 2014

Norwegian aquaculture feed producer EWOS reports higher sales volumes contributed to a boost in the company’s operating revenues in 1H 2014.

The revenues totaled NOK 4.8 million (USD 776,179, EUR 588,840), an increase of 10 percent compared to 1H 2013. The sales volumes rose by 11 percent to 513,000 metric tons. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, dividends and acquisitions also increased by 20 percent to NOK 284 million (USD 45.9 million, EUR 34.8 million).

“The results for the first half of EWOS’s first year as independent feed supplier are satisfactory. The business has benefitted from considerably milder sea temperatures in Norway compared to 2013, improved biological conditions in Chile and Canada, continued strong home market position and success in export in Scotland, as well as a significant increase of our market share in Vietnam,” said CEO Einar Wathne.
