Nireus completes Seafarm merger, absorption

Greek seafood farmer Nireus Aquaculture has announced it has completed its merger with Seafarm Ionian.

Reuters is reporting the company’s share capital has increased by EUR 9.5 million (USD 10.39 million). The new share capital will be made up of 95.79 percent shares of Nireus and 4.21 percent shares of Ionian.

The announcement is the end of a process which began in March, when Nireus announced it would perform a “merger by absorption” of Seafarm Ionian.
