Norway salmon prices decline again

After rising for the just the second time in the nearly two months, prices of Norway salmon exports dropped again despite volume continuing to rise.

For the week of 15 October to 21 October, export prices of fresh salmon came to NOK 26.24 per kilo, down 1.6 percent from the previous seven-day period.

According to data from Statics Norway, fresh salmon exports for the week totaled 18,298 metric tons (MT), up 4.6 percent from 17,499 MT from 8 October to 14 October.

Exports of frozen salmon were down to 876 MT compared to 898 MT during the previous week. Prices were up to NOK 29.59 compared to 28.09 during the previous seven-day period.
