Hauge i Dalan, Norway-based SurplusHub International, which owns business to business (B2B) marketplace for surplus industrial equipment SurplusHub.com, has partnered with Klepp, Norway-based aquaculture technology and services company AKVA.

“This is an important milestone in our strategy to make SurplusHub available to new industries where circular economy and sustainability are key drivers," SurplusHub International CEO Per Kåre Liland said. "Aquaculture holds significant potential for smarter resource management, and we look forward to contributing with technology that supports this development."

AKVA is the first aquaculture company to partner with SurplusHub.com, which already supplies equipment to the oil, gas, and maritime industries. AKVA will make use of the tailored digital platform to manage and resell its surplus equipment.

“Sustainability and resource optimization are key focus areas for AKVA group," AKVA Global Supply Chain Director Erlend Gundersen Røed said. "By partnering with SurplusHub, we gain access to a specialized marketplace that allows us to extend the lifecycle of equipment and reduce unnecessary waste. This is an important step towards a more circular and responsible aquaculture industry.”
