Faroese salmon producer Bakkafrost Group harvested 12,900 metric tons (MT) of gutted weight fish in the second-quarter of this year, down from 18,400 MT in the corresponding period of 2017.
With no contribution to the total harvest from the company’s farming operations in the west of the Faroes, all of the salmon supplied in the last quarter came from its farms in the north.
Bakkafrost also sold 15,700 MT of feed in the three-month period, down from 17,000 MT in Q2 2017.
