GAA’s GOAL Conference heading to Tokyo, Japan in 2020

Tokyo, Japan will be the host city for the Global Aquaculture Alliance’s 2020 Global Outlook for Aquaculture Leadership (GOAL) Conference, the organization announced as of 20 January.

Scheduled to run from 6 to 8 October, 2020, at the Hotel Okura Tokyo, this year’s GOAL will be the 21st installment of the event, which is known for attracting aquaculture stakeholders from around the world as both attendees and presenters. Registration for GOAL 2020 in Japan will open in the spring, GAA said.

A globetrotting conference, GOAL was most recently held in Chennai, India in 2019; years prior to that, it took up temporary residence in Guayaquil, Ecuador (2018) and Dublin, Ireland (2017). The GOAL Conference drew 475 attendees to India last year, a more than 25 percent boost from numbers observed in 2018, GAA confirmed. The event featured 60 speakers from 16 countries.
