Food industry warehousing firm Americold has named former Hasbro executive Tim Hinckley as its new executive vice president and chief commercial officer, the company announced on 20 June.
Hinckley will oversee Americold’s business development in his new position by guiding key and regional account relationship activities; acting as a voice for the company, informing industry and consumer channels; leading branding, marketing and communications efforts; and monitoring the overall customer experience.
A seasoned supply chain expert, Hinckley comes to Americold most recently from Hasbro, where he helmed the warehousing, transportation and customs brokerage units as the senior vice president of global logistics. Prior to his time with Hasbro, Hinckley – who has a bachelor's degree in marketing and sales management from Ohio’s Bowling Green State University, and an MBA from Auburn University – spent 27 years working with FedEx, where he served in various capacities, including managing director of global accounts.
“Tim is a supply chain industry veteran with an extensive background in logistics operations and commercial strategy, and I’m very excited to have him join our executive team,” Fred Boehler, Americold’s president and CEO, said in a news release. “We look forward to his implementation of ideas and ability to drive customer-oriented enhancements throughout our commercial process.”
Based out of Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A., Americold operates over 165 temperature-controlled warehouses in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, China, Argentina, and Canada.
