Felipe Manterola steps down as general manager of SalmonChile

Felipe Manterola Gana, the general manager of Chile’s salmon trade group SalmonChile, has voluntarily resigned from his position.

The reasons for the resignation were “strictly professional,” having to do with “undertakings that require all his attention,” according to a SalmonChile press release first published by Aqua.cl.

Manterola had been general manager of the trade association since 2014. From 2011 until his appointment as general manager, he worked as SalmonChile’s manager of administration and finance. As general manager, he led the marketing committee and coordinated a strategic plan for expanding markets for Chilean salmon under SalmonChile President Felipe Sandoval.

“Felipe did a great job leading the team of SalmonChile in times that were very difficult for the sector,” Sandoval said. “We are grateful for his hard work and dedication, which translated into important advances for the salmon industry in our country. We wish him every success in this new stage, where he will undertake important personal challenges.”
