Former Saucy Fish leader joins Bristol Seafood as new marketing vice president

Iréne Moon, The Saucy Fish Co.’s former sales and marketing lead in North America, has accepted a new role with Portland, Maine, U.S.A.-based supplier Bristol Seafood, the company announced on 23 October.

Moon will serve as Bristol’s new vice president of marketing, bringing “a wealth of experience, insight, and energy” to the company’s leadership ranks, Bristol’s President and CEO Peter Handy said.

“I look forward to working with her as we create more high-quality, storied products for consumers around the world,” Handy said in a press release.

Having held various sales and marketing positions with companies such as Diversified Communications, VNU Exhibitions, and Resource Trading, Moon said she’s ready to take the next step in her career at Bristol.

“I am very excited to join a Maine-based company who values innovation, quality and honesty,” Moon said. “Bristol is investing greatly in their plant and their talent, to be a key partner for their customers and is on the path of significant growth. I am very keen to be part of this journey.”

Bristol Seafood – which specializes in the sale of scallops, long-line caught Norwegian haddock, Alaskan cod, and wild Maine mussels – announced earlier this year that it plans to invest nearly USD 5 million (EUR 4.04 million) in its processing facility over the next three years. The company partnered with the Maine Technology Institute on the investment, which was made possible in part through a USD 740,000 (EUR 599,252) grant from the Maine Technology Asset Fund, with Bristol funding the remaining balance.
