HB Grandi sells trawler to local competitor

Icelandic seafood company HB Grandi has sold its wetfish trawler Ottó N. Þorláksson RE 203 to Ísfélag Vestmannaeyja.

The agreed sale price is ISK 150 million (USD 1.5 million, EUR 1.2 million), which will be paid on the vessel’s delivery – no later than 31 May, 2018. 

Ottó N. Þorláksson was built in 1981 in Garðabær, Iceland.

HB Grandi, which is engaged in the fishing and processing of groundfish and pelagic fish, is one of Iceland’s largest seafood companies. 

Ísfélag Vestmannaeyja also performs fishing and processing, with facilities in Vestmannaeyjar and Langanes.
