Icelandic processing and ship technology provider Skaginn 3X is expanding in Norway.
Skaginn 3X Regional Manager Ragnar Gudmundsson said his company is betting on a continued success of the aquaculture and seafood industries in Norway and feels that local presence and infrastructure is key to his firm’s success in the region.
“With all the great work our R&D team has done and protected with patents we need all hands-on deck to keep up to the market interest,” he said in a press release.
Skaginn 3X is the developer a “sub-chilling” system that eliminates the need for using ice in fish storage.
Skaginn 3X Sales and Marketing Director Jon Birgir Gunnarsson said the company will begin hiring in Norway this year.
“We will not have a traditional office location, at least not to begin with,” he said. “Our people should be out with the customers preferably at factory locations.”
