To keep up to date with the latest personnel changes across the seafood industry, SeafoodSource is compiling a regular round-up of hiring announcements and other personnel-related shifts worldwide. If you have an announcement, please send it to [email protected].

Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly reported George McManus’ transition from president of JJ McDonnell & Co. to CEO and visionary. However, that move occurred in 2022. McManus still serves as the company’s president, and Jim Saxonis was recently hired as chief operating officer.

New South Wales, Australia-based Murray Cod producer Aquna Sustainable Murray Cod announced Katherine Bryar as the new chief sales and marketing officer. There, she will work on market and sales strategies as well as execution to “return the native Aussie fish species of Murray cod back from near extinction."

She holds decades of experience in the seafood industry, starting in marketing and advisory board member positions at different companies across Sydney, Australia. She’s a co-founder of Australia-based educational campaign Fed By Blue and was the global marketing director of BioMar. Most recently, she’s been at the Caribbean Aquaculture Education & Innovation Hub for the last three years as a board member.
