New director appointed by the Norwegian Seafood Council

Tom-Jørgen Gangsø has been promoted by the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) to the position of director of market insight and market access.

Gangsø, 29, will take up the new role on 1 May, leaving his current position of strategy manager. 

“We are pleased that Tom-Jørgen Gangsø has agreed to lead the Seafood Council's market insight and market access work further. Tom-Jørgen has led a unique understanding of the seafood industry's challenges through the management of the Seafood Council's strategy work over the past couple of years. With this appointment, we are strengthening the Seafood Council for the future,” said Renate Larsen, CEO of the NSC.

Since joining the NSC as an intern in 2012, Gangsø has worked on both analysis and marketing, leading several development projects. 

He holds an Executive MBA in Sustainable Innovation in Global Seafood from the Norwegian School of Economics, a Master in Business Creation and Entrepreneurship from UiT Norway's Arctic University in Tromsø, a Bachelor in International Business Administration from Middlesex University in London, and a Bachelor in Economics and Management from UiT Norway's Arctic University in Tromsø.
