The North Atlantic Seafood Forum has been postponed to June 2021.
The event had originally been scheduled to take place in Bergen, Norway, between 9 and 11 March, 2021. The new dates of the event will be 8 to 10 June, and the conference has been moved to a digital format, due to complications caused by Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We have listened to the industry. Many of our regular delegates now fear that both Brexit and COVID challenges will require their full attention in Q1, thus making it difficult to attend NASF in March.” NASF General Manager André Akse said in a press release.
The conference annually attracts hundreds of industry executives to presentations on species-specific outlooks for salmon, whitefish, and pelagic fish, as well as information sessions on technology, innovation, sustainability, finance, investment, and policy. The 2021 version of NASF will include more than 150 presentations from seafood executives and other industry specialists, Akse said.
“We believe that NASF 2021 will attract a larger international audience than previous events, since it will be easy and convenient to attend the conference via your computer or tablet, from wherever you are in the world,” Akse said. “At present, we predict 2,500 delegates attending NASF 2021."
