Faroese salmon producer Bakkafrost Group harvested 12,600 metric tons (MT) of gutted weight fish in the second-quarter of this year, down 300 MT from the corresponding period of 2018.
The contribution from the company’s farming operations in the west of the Faroes amounted to 4,700 MT, while its sites in the north provided 7,900 MT.
Bakkafrost also sold 18,900 MT of feed in the three-month period, up from 15,700 MT in Q2 2018.
