Trident Seafoods appoints Sunderland, formerly of Ocean Beauty, as new salmon category director

Seattle, Washington, U.S.A.-based company Trident Seafoods has hired Tom Sunderland, formerly of Ocean Beauty Seafoods, as its new salmon category director.

Sunderland, who held a variety of roles with Ocean Beauty over the course of nearly 16 years – including vice president of marketing and communications and director of marketing – joined Trident’s ranks earlier this month, according to his LinkedIn page.

Prior to his work with Ocean Beauty, Sunderland spent eight years with Customer Marketing Group as a project manager, overseeing retail trade dealings for both multinational groups and specialty consumer packaged goods manufacturers.

Altogether, Sunderland has over 24 years of experience in various marketing capacities and niches, including trade marketing, consumer marketing, corporate communications, packaging, pricing, new product development, headquarter sales, seafood sustainability policy, and industry relations, his LinkedIn profile states.
