New tuna-based Cracker Toppers from John West to launch in June

United Kingdom-based Thai Union Group subsidiary John West will unveil the re-imagining of its Spreadables range in June with the launch of its new line of tuna Cracker Toppers.

The single-serving Cracker Toppers are being marketed as a “reinvention” of John West’s existing Spreadables lineup, according to a recent report from The Grocer, and are optimized to “showcase usage in a more focused way” when it comes to crackers and crispbreads, Jon Burton, the company’s international marketing director, told the news outlet.

The new products are available in metal cans and require no preparation, Burton noted. They are meant to serve as a “quick and convenient” snacking alternative, he added. Each installment in the line combines tuna with one of four flavor mixes: Mayo and Sweetcorn, Mexican-style, Mediterranean, and Sweet Chilli. The retail sales price is marked at GBP 1.10 (USD 1.41, EUR 1.27) per 80-gram pot, said The Grocer.

An expansion of John West’s Steam Pots range is also in the works for June, the supplier said. Five new flavors using cous cous, rice, pasta, or noodles will be a part of the summer rollout, it confirmed for The Grocer.
