Saucy Fish launches limited-edition special sauce in time for Valentine's Day
The Saucy Fish Co. aims to boost online sales of its frozen seafood entrees for Valentine’s Day with the gift of a limited-edition, “sexy” sauce.
The Grimsby, United Kingdom-based supplier’s Saucy No. 5 is made with four “potent aphrodisiacs,” Saucy Fish said in a statement.
Consumers who order Saucy’s products via its website starting on 8 February will receive the sauce for free.
“As 14 February falls mid-week, Saucy No. 5 will enable time-poor consumers to enjoy a memorable evening, without having to spend too much time in the kitchen. The sauce pays homage to the brand’s playful side, promising to get pulses racing with its key ingredients: pomegranates, chilli, vanilla, and champagne,” the supplier said in a statement.
Saucy No. 5 is best served with salmon or a white fish, such as sea bass, the suppler said.
“We wanted to extend our mid-week meal offering this Valentine’s Day, creating a limited-edition product that would excite multiple senses. We haven’t seen a sauce like this on the market before, so what better time to launch than the most romantic season of the year,” said Howard Dingwall, development chef for Saucy Fish.
The launch of the limited-edition sauce is being supported by public relations efforts as well as social and influencer activity.
